What the Flick: Mad Men S06E13 FINALE "In Care Of"
The season finale for real (I was on something last week apparently). Big stuff..
This was a big episode of Mad Men, and everything we know about the series seems to have been flipped on its head.
What happened to Don, and can he ever recover? What is his future with the company, or do you think he doesn't have one at all? He seems to have lost all power in his life and has lost the respect he once commanded. Has he hit the bottom? How can he climb back up?
There seems to have been a subversion of everything we knew about Mad Men, including the title card. Who is on the rise now? Is this the end of Don and the 1960s and the beginning of the 1970s and the rise of Peggy, Ted, Bob, and some of the others?
Who is the new Don Draper? Or rather, who is Dick Whitman?

What the Flick: Man Men S06E12, "The Quality of Mercy"

"The Quality of Mercy" is a quote from The Merchant of Venice, and applies in more than one way (as usual) with multiple characters getting the opportunity to show mercy...or not.
In this episode, we finally figure out just who Bob Benson is - are you surprised? The big reveal showed a real subversion in how certain characters reacted, and how they would have reacted in years before. Did Pete show mercy, was he weak, or was Cenk right about his ulterior motives?
Is "the quality of mercy" really in reference to how one turns mercy into power?
What about Sally's situation at boarding school-- will she receive mercy? Did Don overdo it with his lack of mercy?
And what about the creeping Rosemary's Baby motif? It's back again, but what does it mean? Why was it placed in the show?
