So I made this today accompanied with some five spice turkey burgers and it came out incredibly! I made only a couple substitutions.. Pineapple juice instead of apple cider and pineapples instead of pears. I also did probably another 1/4 c each of onion and pepper. And lastly I did another 1/2 or 1/4 tsp of five spice right at the end and a few squirts of sriracha to taste.
