Birth Control Pills Recalled - How Many Women Got Pregnant?








"A Canadian drug distributor has issued an urgent recall for Alysena-28 birth control pills. Apotex says one batch of the Alysena-28 may contain two weeks of placebo sugar pills instead of one, adding the error can reduce the effectiveness of the pills and raises the possibility of unplanned pregnancy."* A batch of bad birth control packs was released to the public- the packs had 2 weeks of placebo pills instead of just one. This begs the question: how many women became accidentally pregnant because of this, and will the company take any action?
